in Ready for love mike says "if she dont love me her sister will" doesnt this sound familiar to a line in jimi hendrix's red house?
"Hey, my baby don?t love me no more
Lord, I know good and well that her sister will"-jimi hendrix

OK..."Ready For Love" was released in 1992 as the b-side to "Born To Lose." It was a live concert recording.
"That's Alright" is a song that Mike's been playing for a few years now. I first heard it at a sound check before one of his solo shows in 1999. It's occasionally appeared in Social D's live sets over the last few years, and started showing up regularly in 2004. For the Feb/March 2005 string of shows, it was played almost every night.
The lyrics are taken from various sources. Lines like "she won't do me but her sister will" can be heard in sources from traditional blues songs to Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top. The same line was used in Mike's acoustic radio performance labeled "I Got A Girl." The "we did it in the kitchen" verse comes directly from "Ready For Love."
Musically "Ready For Love" and "That's Alright" sound similar in that they're Chicago style blues shuffles, but they're different songs.
So...the partial SxDx chronology is "I Got A Girl" which evolved into "Ready For Love" which then mutated into "That's Alright."
All right?
